Looking back: UEFA Euro 2004 - Portugal
Many pundits were suggesting that Euro 2004 was our best chance of winning at international tournament since Italia ‘90. Who would have doubted them - Beckham, Owen, Scholes, Campbell - the old guard, backed up with some impressive young talent in the shape of Wayne Rooney, Frank Lampard, Ashley Cole and John Terry.
Look how far we've come
As I sit here writing these thoughts in early July 2004, still mourning the defeat against Portugal in a Euro 2004 Quarter Final, I find it having the effect of waking me up, and the realisation that the England team has come a long way.
Spiderman 2
One of the big releases of 2004, and already a huge success worldwide - but this could be said of many films that Hollywood throws at us. However the Spiderman franchise has a good reputation to preserve, and as sequels go - this does the job.
The Football Business
In 2002 I was deciding on a topic for which my Final Major Project was to revolve around. At this time ITV Digital was going into administration - largely due to paying over the odds for Football League rights, and people were starting to question players increasing wages. I brought this book to give me a greater understanding of football’s increasing commercialism, and its background.
All Change!
It’s totally coincidence that a new version of this website comes about at a time when a lot of things are changing in my life.
